Chaos to Calm: Somatic Healing with Danielle Rubio

Somatic healing provides an opportunity to explore our inner world by noticing how we carry stress in our bodies. It is essential to make space for nourishing ourselves and having access to tools that can help us move from a state of chaos toward a relaxed sense of calm. Recently I had the wonderful chance to discuss this transformative approach with Danielle Rubio, a Somatic therapist who assists her clients to uncover more ease in their life. Danielle shared her journey into somatic therapy and offered meaningful insight into how it helps us process trauma, heal old wounds, and reconnect with ourselves again so that we can heal from within.

She believes that connecting with the body’s innate wisdom can help us overcome emotional blocks and be better able to restore our sense of self. Exploring the Relationship between Chaos and Calm

Exploring the relationship between chaos and calm can be an enlightening journey, especially when partnered with someone knowledgeable on the subject. Danielle Rubio, a highly-trained Somatic therapist, guided me through an insightful conversation about healing and feeling. She explained how important it is to inhabit our physical bodies as a way to process trauma and reach true inner peace of mind. By connecting our chaotic emotions externally and consciously tracing them back within ourselves, we can create order out of disorder and find harmony amidst turbulence. The awareness she shared enabled me to see that there truly can exist a balance between chaos and calm.

Why Embodying Our Soma is Important for Healing Trauma

For many of us, healing from trauma can be a difficult journey, but one that is well worth it for our physical and mental well-being. Danielle helped to guide me on the path to understanding why embodying the soma is such an important part of this process. She suggested that by taking the time to embody our soma, we can better understand and confront the trauma we have experienced. This allows us to reframe and re-contextualize negative or painful experiences that may have affected us earlier in life. In doing so, we have control over our own healing process and are more informed about how to create long-lasting tools and coping mechanisms in order to better manage our day-to-day lives. Embodying our soma is a key step in the healing process and should not be overlooked.

The Benefits of Self-Love & Self-Care During Times of Stress

Taking the time to practice self-love and self-care is a great way to manage stress and help keep your mental and physical well-being in check. Practicing self-love and self-care during moments of stress can be extremely beneficial for our mind and body, reminding us that we are capable of taking our power back over difficult times. Embracing activities such as mindful exercise, journaling, meditating, talking/reaching out to loved ones, or doing something creative that brings us joy has the potential to give us strength and fuel us when life throws challenges our way.
